Studio Farland exists to help ambitious teams realize ideas that don’t fit neatly into a single discipline. Rather than being defined by a single medium, Studio Farland adapts to whatever an idea demands. Sometimes that’s a film. Sometimes it’s an experience, a campaign, a technology platform or an original story world. The goal is always the same: create work that reaches further than the original brief imagined.

Founded by writer, director and creative director Hal Kirkland, Studio Farland draws on more than two decades of experience creating world-first campaigns, films and experiences recognized with over ninety international awards, including Cannes Lions, The One Show, Gold Clios, Webbys, Annecy and UKMVAs.

Over the past two decades I’ve worked across some of the world’s leading agencies and production companies, helping brands, filmmakers and creative teams bring unusually ambitious ideas to life.

Along the way, I’ve learned to move fluidly between creative development, production and execution, specializing in connecting complex ideas, talented people and diverse disciplines to uncover opportunities others overlook.

My work has been recognized with more than ninety international awards, including Cannes Lions, The One Show, Gold Clios, Webbys, Annecy and UKMVAs. More importantly they’re the by-product of curiosity, collaboration and making work that people genuinely feel—whether it’s a commercial, a film or something that doesn’t yet have a category.
